There are all kinds of neat tricks that a Cyber-Rain system can perform beyond simply changing watering cycle durations.
Today, we’ll focus on one of the nifty features located within the “Details” tab of the Cyber-Rain software.
Additional watering is usually required after the application of fertilizer, to ensure that fertilizer is absorbed into your lawn or other plants’ root system. Unfortunately, many people either neglect to conduct additional watering when they fertilize, or they maintain increased watering long after it is required. Cyber-Rain is the smart sprinkler controller that can keep track of when you need to fertilize, and can increase watering for a specific number of days before automatically reverting to the previous watering schedule.
On the bottom left of the “Details” tab window, you’ll see the fertilizer section.
Click on the “Fertilizer Watering” tab to temporarily increase watering following fertilization, planting new sod, etc. Use the slider bar to choose how much of a percentage increase will occur over your current watering schedule. Also select the number of days for which you require additional watering.
Click “Save” (on the bottom left corner, next to “Cancel”) after making any changes to the “Fertilizer Watering” section. Do this for each zone that requires additional watering (change zones with the “Prev Zone” and “Next Zone” buttons on the bottom, left of center)
Click on the “Fertilizer” tab in order to set fertilizer reminders. You can set the interval of days in between fertilization for each zone, and the number of days for which you are reminded. Make sure to check the “Fertilizer Reminder” box and click the “Save” button for each zone you set a reminder for.
