Go Green, Have Some Fun
Turning off water when not in use; using a smart sprinkler controller like Cyber-Rain; recycling recyclable materials (glass, plastic, paper, etc.); there are many ways in which a consumer can be water-savvy and a conscious conservationist on a daily basis. And in today’s world of high technology, not only are the possibilities endless, but new and fun options are available everyday! Here are a few fun and interesting sites (and free offers) for the savvy conservationist to check out:
1.) Easy Greensy: A blog geared towards youth and young adults, Easy Greensy covers many different avenues of green though, including conservation, technology, politics and current events.
2.) Real Goods Solar: Those behind the Real Goods Solar Living Resource Book and it’s myriad of conservation and solar-living “how-to’s” are offering a free ebook on alternative energy, titled “Renewable Energy 101- Solar, Wind, and Hyrdo Electric.” Real Goods is a solar energy site which promotes solar energy.
3.) Simple Green Action: A blog by the makers of the Cascades Tissue Group (makers of recycled paper towels) which offers green tips, videos, green updates, an eco tips blog and conservation tips.
