Software Update 3.7 for Cyber-Rain

The Cyber-Rain 2-line controller

The Cyber-Rain 2-line controller

More exciting news in the world of Cyber-Rain: there is a new software update!

The newest Cyber-Rain software update will allow users with 2-line display controllers to use the new Cyber-Rain Smart Scheduling Wizard nd to function with newer and faster access points. (Controllers with two lines of text on the LCD screen are known as 2-line display controllers. The display include the day of the week, the date, the hour and a brief description of watering commands.)

The Smart Scheduling Wizard helps you determine water-savvy irrigation scheduled customizd to your yard and location. Pictures help you describe each  of your zones, including what types of plants, emitters and soil you have. The wizard will then pre-populate your baseline schedule. And, if you indicate you are on a slope or have dense soil, it will automatically schedule your sprinklers to water, wait for the water to soak in, and then water again.

Additionally, Cyber-Rain will now perform better if you will be out of town or on vacation. The offline watering adjustments are now custom tailored, based on the historic weather conditions for your zip code. You will continue to save water even if your computer is off.

The software update also work with our new access points, which makes your Cyber-Rain system more responive as data transfer speed is faster. The new access points also include colord LED indicator lights which show you when the access point and controller are communicating properly. And the installation of these access points is easier, as it isn’t necessary to download additional software drivers. If you are interested in learning more about the new access points, please call the Cyber-Rain technical support line at (818) 707-7696 at extension 1715.

As always, Cyber-Rain users can interact with the system as much as they like; for those who enjoy taking a more active, hands-on approach to managing their landscapes, nearly anything is possible. Others can now more easily set the Cyber-Rain system and move on! Updates can downloaded here. We hope you enjoy this free new update!
