Water Conservation Event in Pasadena 9/12/09
Do you know what time it is? It’s time to save water! On Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the District 7 Water Conservation Fair will offer water-saving fun for the whole family. The fair will take place in Allendale Park (located at 1030 S. Morengo in Pasadena) and will be sponsored by local homeowners associations. Councilmember Terry Tornek will be at the fair, as will various vendors offering information on many water-saving devices. A free hot dog lunch will be provided, courtesy of the Pasadena Firefighters Association Local 809.
At the fair, come to meet officials from the Pasadena Water Department and find out how you can save water through everyday modifications, including incorporating drought-tolerant landscaping practices and investing in water-saving devices.. The Cyber-Rain smart sprinkler controller is a proven and effective irrigation monitoring system, and those who attend the Water Conservation Fair will have the chance to buy their own Cyber-Rain system Pro system at a special price. The Cyber-Rain Pro has useful features such as the smart scheduling wizard (to tailor your watering schedule to your specific landscape) and an automatic rain shut-off sensor (after a threshold level of rain is detected, the system will turn off in a rain event) and many other exciting innovations! The Cyber-Rain system will also automatically email you if anything goes wrong with your watering system.
The District 7 Water Conservation Fair is an excellent opportunity for Pasadena (and nearby) residents to learn (free of charge) how to save water and avoid water waste fines.
Get to know your neighbors, learn about a positive environmental movement, and buy a discounted Cyber-Rain controller: what more could an environmentally-conscious consumer want out of a weekend?
