Cyber-Rain FAQ: Week of September 26, 2009

Q: Can I run the Cyber-Rain smart sprinkler controller system from my PC?

A: Yes! The Cyber-Rain system will work when hooked up to a computer operating either the Vista or Windows XP operating systems. You will also need to make sure your PC has an unused USB port or powered hub, a working connection to the Internet and at least 100 MB of free space before trying to run the Cyber-Rain system. (You will be installing the Cyber-Rain software on your PC and will need the space)

Currently, Cyber-Rain is not compatible with Mac operating systems. In order to run Cyber-Rain on your Mac, you will need Parallels http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/. Contact our support department if you have questions about compatibility at 1-877-888-1452 option 3 or support@cyber-rain.com.

One Response to Cyber-Rain FAQ: Week of September 26, 2009

  1. Michael John says:

VMWare, Not Parallels! I have both parallels and VMWare Fusion, and though I prefer the usability of Parallels, I found that Parallels could not properly connect to the USB controller, no matter how hard I tried.

VMware Fusion however connected to the controller fine, and I’ve been using this configuration on an Intel iMac for over a month now without problems.
