Cyber-Rain FAQ: Week of October 13, 2009
Question: Do I need to tell the Cyber-Rain system exactly what to do each day?
Answer: Absolutely not! Once you have installed the software and run the Cyber-Rain Smart Scheduling wizard, your PC only needs to be on once every 24 hours for the Cyber-Rain system to receive real-time weather information. The Cyber-Rain application continues to run in the background as you run other applications. The Cyber-Rain system is not a disruptive or dominating application, as it simply uses your PC to check the weather via the internet and then communicates this to your Cyber-Rain controller.
And what if you are on vacation and your computer will be off for an extended period of time? No problem! Cyber-Rain knows the average historical temperature, humidity and rainfall for each month for every zip code and will use this to update your controller. So you will continue to save money and water even when your computer is off. The Cyber-Rain controller can be up to 300 feet away from your computer. Once the Cyber-Rain software has been set up, the system really runs itself – so sit back and let Cyber-Rain do the work!
